Pet care experience
Hi there, I'm Liz! New to Rover - but I have 20+ years of experience caring for various pets (dogs, cats, fish, even a crayfish once!) and would LOVE the opportunity to meet your sweet pet! I'm fortunate to work remotely (I work in talent/HR for a large company), and I live in east Elgin - serving South Barrington, Dundee, Hoffman Estates, Schaumburg, Elgin, South Elgin, Bartlett, and St. Charles. I was lucky to have pets growing up, and my love for animals has grown even more as an adult. My fiancé & I have a few pets of our own: a sassy Maine Coon cat named Lily, and a rambunctious young English Cream Golden Retriever named Finn. My pet care experience includes caring for various animals over the years for family, friends, and neighbors, and I have a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. I also have experience working with kittens, basic training for puppies/young adult pups, and caring for senior pets (including administering medication).

Liz is an absolutely wonderful dog sitter! It's obvious that she cares a lot for my dog, Yeti, and gives him the same levels of attention and care that I do. Liz is also a great communicator, she always sends updates to let me know how Yeti does on his walks. I trust Liz completely coming into my home, and she always leaves the place cleaner than she found it. Look forward to her being my primary pet sitter, can't recommend her enough!

I will gladly follow any instructions that you have while pet sitting in your home / dog-walking - and I'm happy to work with you on any additional services or needs that you may have. Please let me know any important information ahead of time, including: 1. Existing feeding, exercise, and outdoor routines/schedules - I'm happy to follow any guidelines you have! 2. Does your pet have any preferences that I should know about (activities, favorite toys, etc.)? Any behaviors to watch out for? 3. Do you have any light housekeeping needs while you're away (i.e., water the plants, bring in the mail)? 4. Please share your emergency contact & vet info - better to be safe than sorry!
A typical day
I love taking dogs on walks, playing fetch in fenced-in yards, and stimulating pups through activity play (my own golden retriever loves any game where treats are rewarded!). I also love to give willing pets lots of cuddles - it's really just about meeting them where they're at & we can go from there!

My work schedule is flexible / I can accommodate to meet your pet's needs for drop-in visits and dog walks. I'm open to supporting any other pet care needs you may have, too! I'm hoping to establish a repeat client base locally, now that I'm settled in the burbs.
