Dog lover looking for part-time dog
Pet care experience
I have either owned or lived with dogs since I was 12. I also grew up taking care of horse farms, and the dogs that came with them. I have experience with dogs little to huge, having owned or lived with dogs ranging from chihuahua to New Foundlands. I love ALL dog breeds and know that the breeds that often get a bad rep are not to blame. Bad owners create aggressive dogs. For example, I am happy to care for pits, german shepards, dobermans, etc. No concern here! Happy to care for cats too if you have them! I absolutely believe pets are a member of the family and would treat yours as if they were my own. I would love to have a dog of my own but I travel for work and wouldn't want to leave my own pet frequently, so I'd love to care for yours when I can!

Of course I'd like to know if the dog has any medical concerns to be alert for or any history relating to his/her behavior I should know. And then the fun stuff! Favorite toys or activities? Treats? Preferred snuggle/sleeping positions? As noted above, I have no breed preferences aside from not being able to host larger dogs in my apartment; for those I would need to stay in your home.
A typical day
While I don't have my own yard, my apartment complex is very friendly toward dogs, has walking trails and a park with trails immediately behind my building. The other things we'd enjoy would depend on your dog! What do they prefer? Squeak toys? Tug of war? Just cuddling on the couch?
