Hi there! I'm Liz. After years of caring for and loving many of my own animals, I decided to make a Rover account so I can care for and love yours, too! I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes, ranging from the tiniest Chihuahua, to the biggest Rottweiler, and everything in between. I believe that all dogs are different, just like people, and therefore our interactions and training strategies should be tailored to suit them. While not certified, I've self taught many training and interaction techniques in order to better communicate with our furry friends. While in my home, your doggo will be hanging out with my rescued pit mix, Peanut. We like to take walks and go on "adventures," so rest assured that your dog will NOT be bored! Peanut and my husband (also a dog lover) loveeee to take hikes! Our home has a large fenced in backyard and is within close proximity to the Roanoke Greenway and other trails. While our home is located in Hardy, we are just outside of Roanoke. Our location allows us to provide services in most areas of Roanoke, not just Hardy. We are within 10-20 minutes of all Southeast and Old Southwest neighborhoods, Grandin, and Vinton... just to name a few! We will be utilizing your neighborhood for walk only visits that are initiated in your home. Peanut will not accompany me to your home for drop ins, but might join us on walk only visits. If you find yourself out of town for an extended amount of time, the weekend, or just out and about for a busy day, consider allowing me to take care of your dog related needs! I can drop in for water and food, medication time, potty breaks, walks, or just some good old fashioned lovin'! I currently work from home on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. This renders me unable to provide daycare and boarding services on Thursdays and Fridays *unless* my husband is home. I will become available for boarding drop offs on Friday evenings, just in time for the weekend 😎 Please note that I only accept one canine visitor in my home at a time. This ensures that your dog (and Peanut!) get the attention they deserve. This also allows me to maintain a calm environment which will help your dog feel secure and comfortable in your absence. Prior to all services, I do require a meet and greet just to make sure every one gets along and to ensure a safe and worry-free experience for all involved. I truly look forward to meeting you and your dogs!
