Caring, reliable animal lover here to help

Pet care experience

I am currently undergoing a diploma in Advanced Canine Behaviour through the British College of Canine Studies. I have had dogs and horses in my life for almost 30 years with experience of training dogs; I have recently rescued a young Spanish Podenco (hunting dog) and am going through staged training with him with a view to undergoing further Kennel Club awards and agility training.

Skills

30 years of experience
Oral medication administration
Senior dog experience
Can provide daily exercise

Safety, trust & environment

I am hugely conscientious and safety-conscious. I will of course adapt to any needs required if possible at my own home, and will not hesitate to decline a job if I do not think it would work taking into account my own dog. In terms of sitting at an owner's home, I will abide by all rules and requirements and will always give your pet 100% and as much love, care and attention as I can possibly offer (more than any kennels could offer!). I know being away from their owners can cause stress and anxiety in dogs and will always do my best to help your dog through this if needed.

Home

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard

Information Liz D. would like to know about your pet

I will aim to cater for any dog. My own dog is exceptionally friendly and does not discriminate, loving all people and other dogs, though I appreciate many dogs are very different. Dog-friendly dogs are therefore preferred but not essential.

A typical day

Dogs just love the outdoors, it really is where they are happiest (so we are very much alike in that way!!) I live in the best area for dogs - with hills and moorland on the doorstep. This will always be my preferred location for walks. There are so many sights, sounds and smells of the countryside that your dog will absolutely love. I am a huge animal lover generally and will always give the care and attention your pal deserves (exactly what I would want for my own dog).
