I have been caring for my own animals since I was a child and have always had dogs as part of my family. My dogs were of multiple different breeds including poodles, basset hounds, a mastiff, and a pug. My family and I have fostered dogs for over 8 years now with 7 different agencies including Providence Animal Shelter. I have cared for puppies, kittens, cats, and every size and breed of dog imaginable. Many have had medical problems requiring medication, injection, etc. I have cared for dogs with seizures disorder, diabetes mellitus and insipidus, kennel cough, pre and post surgery, cancer, etc. Other fosters have had issues with trust and some had been neglected/abused. I have had a few dogs who are in foster until their abuse cases were decided in court before they could be adopted.
