Pet care experience
I have owned many dogs, large and small since I was a child. They are my favorite people! And I have taken care of many other pups as well. I love to play with them on the floor, I hear I give good belly rubs! I also enjoy walking them as much or as little as they like. Some dogs would rather play than walk or just have some company so it's up the dog (and owner) what you prefer. I'm a dog person, never met a dog that didn't like me. And I raised two children and 6 dogs in my lifetime so I'm great in an emergency! I have taken care of very young puppies and many older dogs so I understand their needs. I will treat your dogs like my own. I have two rescue dogs myself who are getting older and have a bit of arthritis so we don't take such long walks anymore.

Lissie is awesome! It’s hard for us to leave our Bruce with anyone, but she quickly made us feel so comfortable about having him stay with her. She was very attentive to his needs and sent us photos and videos throughout his stay. We are so grateful to Lissie for sharing her home with Bruce!

Lissie has taken care of my dog, Mary, for over 13 years (since she was a pup). In recent years, Mary has had some health issues and Lissie has administered her medication and tended to her special needs. I have complete confidence in leaving my best friend with Lissie. Mary is always happy to see her and comes home to me in good health and good spirits. Mary likes to sleep in the bed, sometimes even under the blankets and Lissie never has a problem with that as she treats her as her own. I highly recommend Lissie as a dog walker and especially as a long term dog sitter. I can travel with the peace of mind that my sweet dog is well taken care of!
How lucky for those pupsters! Just ask Charlie and Trooper, Lissie's own 2 adorable dogs. Lissie's love for dogs is a family affair, her children have always grown up with family dogs and have each added to the family menagerie their own family dogs. To Lissie, dogs are more than just pets, they offer so much unconditional love which she so gladly offers in return. A typical day
Depending on the dog's personality, we can play "catch" more like retrieve with a toy or ball, walking, belly rubs or just sitting on the floor keeping an older dog company. I used to work long days and I know the dogs can get lonely, so I think the most important part of my job is keeping them company and breaking up their day. I will also be sure they do their business outside if I need to leave them for a short time so they are not uncomfortable. I leave lights and tv on also but I'm home most of the day!
