Pet care experience
Every dog has his day in our home! :) We're finally back on Rover!! Due to COVID (and a new baby), we kept things quiet the past two years, but we're happy to be back up and running for all of our Rover fur guests! For all of our past Rover families: If you have stayed with us before, we have locked your rate into whatever we used before. (Please message me if that didn't go through). If this is your first time trying our Rover, please message for a promo code for $20 off your first booking! So a little about us: We have four kids ages 10, 7, 5, and 2. We have offered dog sitting and doggy daycare on Rover for the past 7 years so our kids have grown up with many of our Rover friends. They are so used to having dogs around that they don't pay much attention to them anymore LOL. Unfortunately, our Cairn Terrier, Lucy, the "Big Sister" of the family, went over the rainbow bridge last September 2021 at the old age of 16. We miss her and she was an excellent Rover host while still with us. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover ever since I got my first dog, Snuggles, when I was 12 years old. Snuggles was a jumpy, friendly, wonderful Yorkshire Terrier. We grew up together! I kept Snuggles all they way till the end, and he was such a great companion. Because of those final years with Snuggles, I know how much care and attention goes into caring for an aging pet. We are familiar with and comfortable with administering pet medications as needed. About my yard We have a large back yard that is open to our driveway. The dogs will ALWAYS be ON LEASH with my husband or myself there to prevent any runners! We do two small walks per day and plenty of backyard time with the dogs. We'll hang out there 3-5 times per day to get some fresh air and some running around time. My experience administering medication Yes, we are familiar with and comfortable with administering pet medications as needed. I'm a stay at home mom, and so I am available to watch your fur baby day and night in our spacious three floor home with a large back porch and unfenced back yard. Every dog is unique and we pride ourselves on knowing the special qualities, likes and dislikes, of every dog that stays with our family. Your dog truly becomes a part of our family during his or her stay. He can make himself at home on the couches, beds, and all rooms. We have a friendly and safe environment where your dog will be free to run, jump, play and sniff to their heart's content. Our family will take great care of your little one. At the end of their stay you'll be greeted by a happy, tired pup.
Reviews
Amazing as always! I don’t think Butters wanted to leave!
Wonderful! Lisette is super communicative and sends consistent updates. It was clear that Butters enjoyed his time with Lisette and her family.
Communications with Lissette are awesome. I loved the pictures and update she sent about Mochi while we were away. I felt Michi was very well taken care of in her care and would definitely use her again!
Lissette took wonderful care of Maggie, treating her like a member of the family! She sent lots of pictures and observations and Maggie almost seemed sad to come back to us. I HIGHLY recommend!!

Information Lissette A. would like to know about your pet
We specialize in caring for small and medium sized dogs. Unfortunately, we go by a case-by-case basis when considering requests to watch energetic dogs that are larger than 35lbs. We find that their size and high energy tends to topple our little ones. If you have a a high energy dog (35lbs+), we would be happy to consider watching them for you if they have a mellow demeanor and/or are older dogs that can blend in well with our young kids. When you drop off your fur baby for his/her visit, it would be super helpful to know a breakdown of your schedule, any requirements/rules, and any medications that would need to be administered. We want to keep your dog on as close a schedule as to what he/she is used to at home. Regarding rules: We follow your rules, while your pup is here. So if you have a special diet, or prefer the dog to be crated at night (done only if requested), or don't want Fido up on the bed, then we make sure to follow your rules and not create any new habits while you're away :)
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks Fellsmere Park is only a 5 minute walk away. It is a local gem which provides a scenic walking path, a beautiful pond, and plenty of ducks to chase after. We do two small walks per day and a lot of backyard time. All backyard time is ON LEASH since our yard is unfenced. Your dog's sleeping arrangement I will work with you to make sure your dog sleeps in comfort. We provide plenty of options, including our bed, their dog bed in our room, or a small couch in our bedroom that we set up with blankets and a comforter. They are welcome to stay in their crate if that is what they (aka you) prefer, but we only crate the dogs if it's by your request. Time I'll spend with your dog I am home all day with our four kids. So I will be available to walk, play with, and keep your dog company all day long!
