Pet care experience
My roommate and I are recent college graduates who both have lots of experience taking care of dogs. We both own dogs (who unfortunately live back with our families now) and have also done a lot of dog sitting in the past. I work from home so I am able to be fully attentive to your dog, letting them play outside in our fenced in yard or going on walks throughout the day. If your dog is up for it, I would also love to take them on runs with me. We also have friends two blocks down the street who are dog lovers as well who would be able to do all of these things as well! At my house, your dog will never get lonely. Lisle has been a dog sitter for our 11 year old lab mix Ellie for over a year. She has spent many weekends with her, making sure she’s exercising (which Ellie does not care for) eating well and getting plenty of attention. I have known Lisle her entire life and she is a responsible and kind young woman, two vital traits for a good dog sitter. Any family would be lucky to have Lisle care for their family animals.
Lisle would make a great dog walker/care taker. I've had her watch and walk my dog Cuthbert many times and she has been great. From what I have seen she is very gentle and careful and dogs love her, even Cuthbert who is very high-strung and skittish hounddoggo.
Lisle has taken care of my golden retriever, Sadie, many times. She's responsible, responsive, and loving. Every time I leave Sadie with her, I know that she's safe, cared for, and getting all of the attention she wants (which is a lot!).

I would like to know the general temperament of your dog around strangers and other dogs since there is a lot of foot traffic in my neighborhood. I have a mild allergy to dogs, but not anything serious. If your dog sheds a lot, that would be nice to know in advance!
A typical day
When your dog is at my place, my home is their home. They can be on the furniture or sleeping in our beds, whatever they want to do. When we are out of the house, we can take walks around my nice Capital Hill neighborhood. It is filled with nice dogs walking around and playing. We can also go for runs in the National Mall. Whatever your dog is up for!
