Personalized Care = Peace of Mind
Pet care experience
I originally bought my house in 2001 because I fell in love with a dog (Shank) I was training at the shelter and my apartment at that time did not allow big dogs. I have been a dog mom for these past 21+ years, until I lost my heart/soul dog (Koa) in June 2022. For more than 2 decades, I have also been entrusted with caring for the dogs of my family and friends. After losing Koa in June, I may never be ready to have another dog of my own. Instead, since leaving my dogs while traveling was always the hardest thing for me, I want to give other pet parents peace of mind when they have to leave their fur babies. I will work with you to develop a personalized schedule based on you and your dog(s) needs and wants. I will only book one household's dog(s) at a time so that I can customize the care for your dog(s) according to what they are used to and need.
Reviews
Lisa took amazing care of Daisy! She took Daisy to many walking adventures.
I always feel comfortable leaving my dog with Lisa because I know he will be well cared for. I love that she takes him on adventures. I can tell when I drop him off and pick him up that he adores Lisa and actually seems like he tries to be a good dog for her! It's so terribly cute. I also appreciate the daily recaps and photos. I really can't thank you enough ❤️
My girl had an amazing time with Lisa, per usual! I really appreciate how much effort Lisa puts into taking T on long and varied walks to keep her happy, healthy and entertained. Not to mention the great photos and daily reports I look forward to every day that I’m away.
Our pup had another wonderful stay with Lisa, and we couldn’t be more pleased! Lisa provided daily updates with photos which really put our minds at ease while we were away. It was clear that our pup was having a great time, enjoying plenty of playtime, walks, and cuddles. Thank you for making Bbossi’s stay special and he is looking forward to another stay with you!

I have a fully fenced yard and a doggie door, but I do not rely on my backyard for exercise for your dog(s). Your dog(s) will have full access to my house and all the furniture, unless there are reasons they shouldn't for their safety (for example, I have a gate that can block stairs since our veterinarian didn't want my dogs walking down the stairs when they got older). Shank lived to 13.5 years and my second dog (Makana) and Koa both lived past 16, so I have a lot of senior dog experience, including giving various supplements and medications, including subcutaneous injections. I am also a big believer in dental care, so I am happy to brush your dog's teeth every day if that is something you do. I am used to taking the dogs I watch off-leash, but I will not take your dog off-leash at off-leash parks unless you specifically want and authorize me to. I have a special interest in photography, especially animals. So I will be taking lots of photos and will provide daily photos and updates.

Information Lisa W. would like to know about your pet
I will require a meet and greet before booking any new clients. This is for a couple of reasons. First, I always wanted to meet the caregiver before I made a decision to leave my dogs with them and I want to make sure you are 100% comfortable with me before making this huge decision to trust me with your loved one(s). Second, I want to make sure that the first time your dog meets me is not when you are dropping them off. I want to be a person your dog recognizes and associates good things with...whether it be a good scratching/petting session, a fun walk, or some yummy treats. I will have you fill out a questionnaire and the schedule you would like me to keep for your dog(s). I want to make sure I keep them on the same medication/supplement and feeding schedule as you do at home. And we will work together to determine the activities and enrichment activities you want me to do while your dog(s) are on vacation with me.
A typical day
As an example of where we would go for adventures, my dogs liked going to Watershed Park, Mercer Slough, Big Finn Hill Park, St. Edward Park, Kelsey Creek Farm, Wilburton Hill Park, Weowna Park, Shelton View Forest, etc. We also frequented all the off-leash parks in the area...Medina Park, Fairweather Park, Marymoor, Luther Burbank, Edith Moulton and Jasper's Dog Park. For hiking, we would go to Rattlesnake Ledge, Chirico Trail or High School Trail to Poo Poo Point, Twin Falls, Mount Si or various trails on/near Tiger Mountain.

I work from home and have a flexible schedule. When I had dogs of my own, my life revolved around my dogs. As an example, we used to go for a 1-hour trail walk in the morning and either a 1-hour trail walk or 1 hour off-leash park time with their friends. While at home, we would have games of tug or use enrichment toys, like food puzzles or snuffle mats. They had meals twice a day, and as they got older we adjusted their schedules for their supplements and medications. On the weekends we would go for longer walks and/or hiking. If your dog is active, we can plan something similar. If your dog is a couch potato and just likes cuddles, I'm more than happy to accommodate that also, or anywhere in between!
