Pet care experience

I have experience caring for dogs, cats, hamsters, chickens, and ducks. Your pets will be well cared for and loved during my stay. However, I exclusively house sit for cats now. I no longer have any dog smells which should put your cats at ease as we get to know each other. I will always take pictures of your fur babies and send them to you to keep you updated. In terms of house-sitting, I make sure that both indoor and outdoor plants are watered, as well as taking out garbage, recycling, and compost the night before it gets picked-up. Above all, I will give your fur babies plenty of love and attention.

Lisa is a wonderful cat sitter. She dropped in today to take care of my cat for an hour. She's very conscientious and has a sweet connection with Benji. He seems very comfortable with her. She sent photos and a detailed summary of her visit. I highly recommend her!

Once again, Lisa did a great job taking care of my home and cat. She sends funny updates, keeps my cat very happy (I swear he was checking to see if she was also coming in the door when I got home), and takes excellent care of the house. She also offered (unprompted) to help pick up missed deliveries— truly above and beyond.

Lisa did an outstanding job looking after my cat and home. He can be a bit standoffish but Lisa swiftly won him over and followed her around the house. Lisa provided regular updates and pictures. She also left our home immaculate (cleaner I think than we’d left it) and was very conscientious

Lisa is the absolute best cat sitter we've ever had, by a landslide! She is extremely caring for Pepita and is so intentional about actually playing with her and stimulating her. We left for an 8-day vacation and didn't worry about Pepita at all and looked forward to Lisa's updates! I cannot say enough good things about Lisa and her care for cats. We will keep using her services for future trips! She is our go-to and should be yours too :)

Safety, trust & environment

I do not currently offer pet boarding services; however, there are plenty of experienced caregivers on Rover to whom you can reach out and inquire about their boarding services and rates. Also, there are plenty of local pet boarding establishments and I encourage you to ask your veterinarian and/or local vet emergency hospital.

Information Lisa W. would like to know about your pet

I like to know the breed, age, and energy level of the cats, or any special needs. It's important for me to know food preferences and/or allergies. I also like to know their regular routines in order to be able to accommodate them as much as possible. I require a meet and greet to make sure we are a good fit before accepting the job.

A typical day

I make sure to play with cats at least twice a day, that is if they like playing chase with their toys, stalking strings, etc. . . . I assess cat personalities to be able to give them the care they need. When caring for a cat short-term, often that is not enough time for them to get to know me and warm up to me if they are shy. Of course, I do my best while giving them the space they require to feel comfortable. When caring for a cat long-term and/or through repeated visits, I have success with earning their trust as time goes on. I find just talking to them even when they're shy is a great way to engage with them, and they will eventually warm up. If nothing else, feeding them over time establishes a rapport with them as their caretaker. In addition, I have experience with administering oral medications to cats and I have cared for senior cats as well as cats with special needs.
