Your pup’s home away from home!

Pet care experience

Being a lifelong animal lover, taking care of my pets has always been second nature. They are my family. I’ve been petsitting informally for over 20 years. After adopting my first rescue dog in 2011, I became super involved in pet/dog rescue. I have fostered hundreds of dogs throughout the past 12 years, from newborn puppies to seniors which always hold a special place in my heart. I also love working with shy dogs, it’s so amazing to see their confidence and personality blossom once they trust you. I have taken animal first aid and cpr, and have nursed several pups post-op.

Lisa was amazing with our pups! We boarded with her over night. I could not ask for a better person or home for our dogs. They had so much fun they didn't want to leave! She sent photos and videos and kept us up to date the entire time. I would very, very highly recommend Lisa to anyone is the area looking for pet care.

After our meet and greet we knew Buster was going to have a great time. Easy to see how Lisa loves all fur babies, and has all the elements in place for us to feel totally comfortable leaving him for a few days. Thanks Lisa for your great care. Buster said he had a blast!

From our initial visit with our dog and Lisa we knew she was a good fit. Very calm and relaxed with our dog, made him feel right at home. She provided us with pictures and a video to put our minds at ease while we were away. Will use her again.

This was Murphy's first experience with a boarder, and it went great. Lisa sent us a couple videos to assure us that Murphy was having a great time, She gave us a report card on how well he behaved, whether he ate, how well he played with others. Everything that we didn't know how he would react. We would highly recommend Lisa, Murphy would highly recommend her, and we look forward to the next time we call on her.

Safety, trust & environment

My backyard is fully fenced and gates are always locked. Lots of space to play fetch or a game of chase! My senior dog loves being outside and keeps the young pups in line 😉 my youngest dog will engage with anyone, big or small, wanting to play. There is also a sand pit specifically designated for the dogs to dig and a couple of doggie pools in summertime. Inside, the dogs enjoy an open concept space, complete with pet beds scattered around, crates if needed for meals or down time, a full toy box, and space in front of the fireplace for napping.

Information Lisa U. would like to know about your pet

It’s always helpful as a caregiver to have a meet & greet with new clients to make sure we’re a good fit. Information on any special needs your pup may have, behaviourally or medically.

A typical day

There are several walking trails in my area. There’s also the boardwalk on the shores of Lake Erie and a few beaches that allow dogs. The town also has a wonderful dog park however I only take clients that are used to dog parks and only once we have formed a bond of trust. There’s so many beautiful places to walk here, I haven’t even tried all of them yet! When we experience inclement weather, I have several enrichment puzzles and toys that we would engage in.
