We can always chat if it's just a few hours) Hi there! My name is Lisa and I work from home so I can devote extra time caring for your pup! If your dog boards with me, not only will they be in the home of someone loving and caring (who doesn't love dogs?), but also someone experienced. In addition to my current job, I currently work part time as an assistant Puppy Kindergarten instructor and dog trainer so I have a solid understanding of dog training, body language and behavior. I've also fostered several dogs, and used to volunteer as a dog walker for a rescue organization. Additionally, I understand how important it is for you to get updates while you're away from home. I also use Rover when I travel and I understand how scary it can be leaving your dog with someone new. Here's what I'll do to make sure your dog feels right at home (and make YOU more comfortable): - Daily photo updates (can send even more if you wish!) - I always use 100% positive reinforcement -- I found this is the best way to communicate with all dogs I've worked with! - I work from home so I am home 80-90% of the day (I do teach Yoga a few classes per week) - Plenty of walks - exercise is important :) - I do live in an apartment, but I provide plenty of exercise as well as mental stimulation through K9 Puzzle Toys, and my pup Waffles loves to play (Ziggy is a lil lazy haha) - Safety is my #1 priority! That's why I have my weight restriction rule - I want all of the pups to be around the same size. My only exception is dogs that I have done day care for daily since they were puppies (9-10 weeks) who I have socialized and know how to play with smaller dogs. - Extra love/snuggles if your dog wishes!
