Pet care experience
I have worked with domestic and exotic animals for over 20 years and was previously in the zoological field. I now work from home remotely during the week and am available for dog walks and pet (dog/cat/bird/reptile/etc.) sitting on the side. I have experience with all size dogs, and all ages of both cats & canines - including geriatric pets. I had a diabetic dog of my own for many years, and that coupled with my previous professional work in the zoological field, means that I have years of experience with giving insulin injections and medications as needed, and have experience working with animals that have special needs. And I love all animals! I am also happy to pet sit for cats and other types of pets, including small mammals, birds (I have parrot experience), reptiles, amphibians and fish. I also have operant conditioning experience from my zoological career, meaning that I am skilled at training animals through positive reinforcement methods. I am compassionate and really care about animals and know that my quality of work can have a major impact on your pet's quality of life. My pets have always been family, so if I get to help care for your pet I will treat them like family too!

Lisa did a great job for us. From the meet and greet to the stay with our Riley, she was very impressive. She took great care of our home and Riley. We will definitely recommend and use her in the future.
Ilisa was wondering to work with updates, pictures Elee looked very content. Just coincidence had her cushings, and thyroid checked, all medications were right on. So all her medications were administered daily. She had just started a diet. She lost 3 lbs in 3 weeks, 2 under Lisa's care, 1 under mine, she tore her ACL ( a little over weight) so we needed a couple pounds off. I definitely will be using Lisa again!

When we do a meet and greet, I'll want to get to know you and your pet - walk schedule, activity level, things to avoid, favorite toys, where they can be in the house, special needs, etc. Before I walk or take care of your pet, I want to know as much as possible about them to make the experience as positive as possible!
A typical day
I will work with you to find what works best for your pet! Some dogs are active, some are more couch potatoes - I'm happy to work with any and all! I have had several dogs of my own that have lived well into their senior years, so am very experienced with older pets as well.

Availability
I currently work at my main job Mon-Fri remotely from home, typically 8-5, and can be available for dog walks/pet sitting for care in the mornings and evenings, as well as midday walks for clients that live in the St Pete Beach/Pasadena area. I can also do longer house/pet sitting where I stay with your pet(s) in your home. I also can occasionally host pets at my home if needed; I live in a pet-friendly, one story duplex (more of a 4-plex actually). My dog has sadly passed away, so your pets would be the only ones in my home. Let's chat to see what we can make work!😊 *Note: I am in St Pete Beach, just a couple of streets away from Upham Beach.
