Professional Dog Lover

Pet care experience

I've always felt connected to and have loved animals, particularly cats and dogs. My background is in holistic healing, which provides relaxation and soothing care benefits for pets and their humans. I have experience walking and caring for large and small dogs, both in my home and in theirs. I'm happy to provide many references from happy pet owners who can attest to my love and care for their dogs. I would love the opportunity to care for your dog. Why I love dog sitting Dogs are so easy to love. I was always a cat person until my girlfriend opened my eyes to the world of dog love. I like how blatantly dogs want our approval and how freely they show affection. Dogs are good teachers about how to play and live joyfully. About my yard I have a small, fenced in backyard that is good for a dog to take a quick bathroom break. My experience administering medication I have experience administering oral medication and am willing to try giving syringe medication.

Shadow was so well cared for and loved during Lisa's stay with him. Shadow is very shy and Lisa was 100% successful in winning him over. He snuggled with her and played with her: activities he rarely does with "strangers." Lisa quickly became his friend, not a stranger. Lisa kept me up to date with pix and texts so I knew how Shadow was doing, Because Shadow could stay in his own home, my being away was minimally disruptive for him. This was a wonderful experience for Shadow (and for me, since I didn't worry about him)! Five stars are not enough to rate how good this experience was.

Lisa and Meg were fantastic! Archie loved spending the day with them and made friends with another dog they had over that day. They are very flexible with drop-off and pick-up times, at least one of them seems to be home for most of the day, and they really seem to love taking care of dogs.

Our dog Lola had another great stay with Lisa in our home for a few days. We appreciate Lisa updating us frequently by sending texts, and had a happy dog to return home to! :)

Information Lisa S. would like to know about your pet

I always send out a questionnaire to any new client that includes questions about allergies, noise and light sensitivity, how their dog(s) reacts to others dogs and to different weather scenarios. I don't have a breed preference.

A typical day

Here's where we'll take our walks If your dog is active I take it to either a large, fun dog park in Hamden or one of the many trails in the parks/forests around New Haven. For a less active dog I usually walk them around Wooster Square Park. Your dog's sleeping arrangement This depends on the dogs needs, sometimes they sleep in the bedroom or if they prefer to stay downstairs. It's whatever is best for your dog and what makes them feel safe and most comfortable. Time I'll spend with your dog I try not to leave a dog in my care alone for more than three or four hours.
