Pet care experience
I'm a Bay Area native, graduated from UC Berkeley and is finishing winding down my first startup. I've been a digital nomad since 2021 and a friend suggested that I housesit as I do love animals and have a really flexible schedule. I have informally petsit over the years and only recently realized I can start a small business with it! :) My boyfriend Ray can also housesit with me if that’s what the owner’s preference is. He works out of a lab in Sunnyvale and can handle dogs over 75lbs as well as help me give medication. We’ve hired Lisa and Ray to walk our dog in the past, but this was the first time hiring them as house sitters. They’re great with our cat and dog—it’s rare to find dog people who understand cat quirks and vice-versa! They’re also really good at communicating, and I felt confident that they were on top of things.
Lisa was great! She really took care of our cats and made sure they got the attention they needed.

I generally ask for a video and/or in-person visit before committing to the assignment. I want to make sure the animal is comfortable around me and that I go over their daily routine with you in person. I water plants, take out trash, take in packages and will look over your pet and home as if they're my own. They become my responsibility and I'm happy to provide as many updates as the owner prefers.

Please let me know if pet needs medication, had behavioral issues with children/other dogs, and any other special needs and I'll try my best to accomodate.
A typical day
I can do up to 4 walks a day, plenty of play time in the yard/indoors. I've taken pets to nearby parks/further trips via car. I generally avoid dog parks and off leash experiences unless I'm really familiar with the pet.

Availability
I work 100% remote and is very flexible on walks, playtime, field trips to parks and giving medication. Some evenings I'll have tennis practice but I usually coordinate with Ray to make sure someone is always there with your pet.
