Loving sitter in your home
Pet care experience
I've been watching dogs professionally for more than 12 years and raised my sweet Lola until she passed at age 14 in 2022. She is in many of the photos on my profile, as she loved all the furry friends we hosted. My Rover reviews are mostly based on me sitting in my home from 2010-2022. Rover’s platform is limited, so my profile is a bit of a mix from my old profile (when I watched dogs at my house) and housesitting, which I started doing in summer 2023. In 2023, I sold my home and moved in with a dog-loving partner, but we cannot host dogs in our current home. (That may change by the end of 2024, when we move!) Long story short, I am pivoting to dog/house-sitting as I miss having dogs in my life. I do have some geographical restrictions as of January 2024 as I started a new, in-person job. The geographical restrictions are now as follows: I now work Monday-Friday, in person in an office in Geneva, so my day is 9-5, not including commute time. If your dog doesn't need a break, I am happy to stay in your home (anywhere within a 45 minute drive to Geneva) and care for your dog(s). If you live within 20 minutes of the city of Geneva, I can stay in your home with your dog(s) and go home on my lunch hour for a potty break/walk. On weekends (Friday 6pm-Monday 8am), I can care for your dog(s) in your home, anywhere in the greater Rochester area. If you have any questions about my availability, please just ask! My partner can often help out with potty breaks and walks while I am at work or in turn, some people have kind neighbors or dog walkers who can let their dogs out midday while I am at work. Please note, I am wildly allergic to cats, so I cannot stay in a home with a cat. My minimum booking for housesitting is 2 nights. I can and do take long-term bookings. It is all about being a calm, assertive and loving pack leader, which I am. I will send daily photo updates or texts or not - whatever you prefer.
Reviews
Lisa was absolutely amazing to my girls!! Bella can be tough—she’s almost 17 years young, anxious and skittish. She is starting to fail physically, but is fiercely independent and likes things her way. Lexie is younger and much sassier and demands a lot of attention. They had never been with anyone but family for overnights, and we were away for a much longer stretch than usual. Lisa sent pictures every day, stayed in constant communication, and went way above and beyond! I would recommend her to anyone and have already referred her to a friend.
Lisa took great care of our two dogs and house. Great communication with lots of pictures and updates. Highly recommended!
Lisa was the perfect sitter! Would definitely book her again!
I can’t say enough about how amazing Lisa is! She took such good care of our 160 lb. Giant Alaskan Malamute. She kept us posted with pictures and messages throughout her 3 night stay. We were able to relax on our family getaway knowing Suka was in great hands. I would 100% recommend her to anyone!

I will treat your home with respect and take extra care with your dog while in it, always leashing, always a collar on when outside. I am also super careful with things laying around on the floor as you never know....they are dogs! Just a note that I don’t sleep with dogs in the bed, so if your dog needs that, I am not the sitter for you. I find most dogs that are used to sleeping with their owners are just fine not sleeping with me. I don’t care if they get on your furniture, if you don’t. I also have no problem keeping them off, if that is what you prefer.
Information Lisa R. would like to know about your pet
I do like to know as much as I can. Feeding, potty break needs, sleeping, etc. It is also good to know their personality traits. Chill, excited, clingy, vocal, etc. It is good to know how often they have had a sitter, how they do when you are away. I love to hear the stories about your pupper!
A typical day
I will walk in your neighborhood for sure. I also love to take a dog into the woods or to a dog park, if appropriate. My Lola was a fetcher, so if your pupper fetches, they will find no better fetching partner.

I work a full-time in-person job in Geneva NY and live in Fairport NY. When not working, I am a homebody for sure. I tend to be an early riser and like to walk first thing in the morning. But, I can follow whatever schedule is needed. I tend to walk dogs ALOT, if appropriate, as I believe it is good for them and it is also good for me.
