Pet care experience

I grew up on a farm so have a natural love of many kinds of animals. We have a 2 yr old Border Collie and a kitten. I’ve worked a lot with Akira to earn Trick Dog titles and she communicates using AIC buttons. We do hiking/biking/kayaking/swimming/truck rides/enrichment work often. I ran a private grooming salon for 15 years, before retiring.

Exceptional Rover Experience with Lisa: A Home Away from Home for Rainier Review: Our experience with Lisa as a Rover sitter exceeded all expectations. From the moment we dropped off Rainier, we knew she was in good hands. Lisa's warm and welcoming demeanour instantly put us at ease, and it was evident that she genuinely cares for every pet in her care. Throughout Rainier's 10-day stay, Lisa went above and beyond to ensure her comfort and happiness. Not only did she keep us updated with daily photos and videos, but she also took the time to provide detailed updates on Rainier's activities and well-being. This level of communication truly set her apart and allowed us to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing Rainier was in such capable hands. Lisa's home provided a safe and nurturing environment for Rainier, with ample space for her to play and relax. It was clear that she felt right at home, and we couldn't be happier with her experience there. In addition to her exceptional care for Rainier, Lisa's professionalism and reliability were commendable. She was always prompt in her responses and flexible with drop-off and pick-up times, making the entire process seamless and stress-free. Overall, we are beyond grateful for Lisa's exceptional care of Rainier during her stay. We highly recommend her to any pet owner looking for a loving and attentive Rover sitter. Rainier can't wait for her next stay with Lisa!

Lisa has been caring for my cat, Rosy, for about six years, and I couldn't be happier with her exceptional care! Her dedication and responsibility are unmatched, treating Rosy as if he were her own. Lisa takes the time to connect with him on a personal level, showing genuine interest in his needs. I never worry about Rosy's well-being when I'm away, thanks to Lisa's meticulous attention. She is a devoted caregiver who treats your furry family members with the same love and attention she would give her own. Rosy is always happy to see Lisa! I highly recommend Lisa for anyone seeking a trustworthy and loving pet companion!

Lisa and her husband Paul are incredible to our doggos. We can leave our dogs knowing they are safe and happy. Our dogs greet her with a enthusiasm (hugs) and never want to leave. Highly recommed Lisa!

Lisa is our trusted go to when we are leaving town without our furbabies. She provides our two (large) doodles with a safe and loving enviroment. They love all the toys and enrichment activities she provides. They get lots of exercise and attention. They often don't want to leave.

Safety, trust & environment

I feed the dogs in separate areas for less stress and due to my dog having allergies. Morning and night feedings. I can NOT provide an environment for dogs who graze and have their food left down all day due to my dog's allergies. We kennel all dogs when we won’t be there to supervise (running errands etc). We don’t have a fenced yard, but long lead sniffs are fun, as the yard is rather large. Walks happen at least every evening.

Information Lisa & Paul T. would like to know about your pet

Let me know any special tricks and tips you have for your pet. Insider informations helps us form a bond quicker. We do NOT take dogs who are dirty/potty indoors (fine tuning potty training is different) as we have fully renovated our home. We do NOT take aggressive dogs. We do NOT take dogs who are not good with cats. ****Very important**** We are currently working with a behavioural veterinarian for Akira’s anxiety & noise phobias. For this reason we have collectively made the decision not to take in clients who are dealing with anxiety, separation anxiety, reactivity, noise phobias. This is so as not to change the trajectory of the treatment program she is on.

A typical day

Akira and Mouse spend the day training, AIC work and doing enrichment or just hanging out and cuddling if the mood feels. Any dogs I care for follow along with our pet’s daily routine. I offer naps as needed and believe in positive dog training and environment.
