Hi fellow dog lover, my name is Lisa! I'm a current customer of Rover.com, so I know how difficult it is to find a reliable, caring and highly responsive dog walker/sitter. I'm a proud doggy mom of 2 adorable rescue Maltese, who are my world. I have a part time job as a medical professional with a varying schedule, so please check my calendar for availability, which I keep up to date. I live in a house with a fenced yard and large, private driveway for easy dropoff/pickup - no need to find parking! I transitioned to part time at my job in order to spend more time with my four legged babies, who are getting older. I don't want to take for granted the time that I have left with them. With the extra time at home, I've decided to be a dog walker/sitter because of my immense love for dogs. I'm detail oriented and will follow any instructions carefully. Because I believe in safety, I am self trained in canine first aid and CPR. My dogs have taken obedience classes and are well behaved. I will be loving and patient with your dogs, but also know when to be firm if needed, especially where their safety is concerned. Your dog must be friendly with other dogs for daycare and boarding at my home. I recommend setting up a meet and greet prior to any services in order to make sure that there is a good fit for everyone. Please check that your emergency contact and veterinarian information is up to date. Please let me know if your dog has any allergies, dietary or activity restrictions. It is important for me to know if your dog has any specific triggers during walks, such as other dogs, skateboards, etc. For walks and drop-ins at your home, please let me know if your dog has a preferred route/favorite potty spots. I would appreciate any other helpful information that you have in order for me to provide your dog with a fun and safe time.
A typical day
When I provide daycare or boarding, I won't have other commitments, so I can dedicate my time to your dog. I will be home throughout the day, except if I have to go to the nearby supermarket, which is a 10 min walk away. I will not leave your dog alone for more than 1 hour during the day. Your pup and I will take walks around the neighborhood, which has residential houses, neighbors who are dog friendly, and safe, clean sidewalks. For dogs/puppies who need frequent potty breaks, I have a fenced back yard with trees for shade. There are plenty of toys to play with in my dogs' toy tent (they are spoiled haha). For hanging out and naps, I have a big, comfy couch where dogs are welcome. Check out my photos! I take the well being of my dogs seriously and will do the same for yours. I'm self trained to groom my dogs, so I can get the exact look I want and to keep them pawfectly groomed - no mats for my babies! Therefore, I will be glad to keep your dog clean and brushed, if you are alright with it. I can also give them a bath and file their nails with my dog nail grinder (painless and safer than trimming). In addition, I brush my dogs' teeth daily and regularly clean their ears with veterinarian otic solution. I can provide any of these services for your dog, which is included in the bathing/grooming fee. My medical experience in caring for fussy human kids has been very useful for handling doggy kids for such tasks! In all, I'm able to provide comprehensive care for your precious pup.
