I am a stay-at-home mom who just relocated from Midtown Manhattan to Frederick, MD. I used to be able to promise your dog breakfast at Tiffany's. Now I'm looking to explore new locales for long walks. I've very active and am happy to walk your dog many times during the day (without disturbing naps, of course). I also specialize in taking care of cats. I spend time playing with your feline and giving scritches. Since, I am at home most of the time, our dog or cat will never be lonely. I am a big believer in cuddles and attention. Dogs love continuity, so I will continue to give them the care YOU always give them--just tell me your dog's habits and I will accommodate. If you need pictures--I am happy to oblige. It is always fun to see what your pet is up to while you are away. And I am often available on short notice to give you peace of mind. I do have two cats who love dogs. I rescued two kittens from a dump in the Bronx three winters ago. They were near death with frostbitten noses and toes. Now, they run this place. We have cared for a number of dogs, from a King Charles Spaniel to a 100 pound Great Pyrenees. The cats have gotten along really well with them all. We did have one amazing Husky, however, who was really into chasing the cats and that didn't work out. He was such a brilliant dog, he knew how to open doors. He was quite the athlete, too, and climbed up a 7 foot bookcase (at 98 pounds, THAT was a sight!) to try to get the cats. It wasn't the dog's fault--it was just an unworkable situation because of his fascination with felines. I am now extra careful about booking dogs that are not socialized with cats. If you think there might be a a problem with your dog and cats, I am probably not the right sitter for you.
