I’ve owned my own dog, a Jack-Russell called Harper, for 8 years. Have also had an older rescue dog in that time who is no longer with us. I grew up in a family home which always had at least one dog and believe a house is not a home without a dog. I can offer a comfy home from home with sensible older children who are all dog lovers. There is someone at home all day so your dog wouldn’t be left alone for long periods. We dog walk twice a day. One walk of 1 hour and one of 30 mins. Access to a medium size garden is available all day. Dogs sleep downstairs in our home so we cannot accommodate dogs who want to co-sleep.
