Hello everyone, thanks for looking at my profile! References: For 2 months I volunteered at a dog rescue shelter in Portugal, which is home for more than 50 dogs, which is called Esperanca and always looking for help or loving pet owners. For a few years occasionally I take care of dogs of the family of my partner and a couple of friends, also over night, a big Bernese and Australian shepherd and a Chihuahua. But pets have always been in my family also because my father owned a rescue station for wild animals such as birds of preys, foxes and deers. We also had 2 cats and ferrets. Passion: 3 years ago my partner and me welcomed our little dog Cacao in our family, which we learned to know while volunteering in a dog shelter. He came from an abusive backround and really seeked out for love and help. Much has happened since and this little shy and scared dog turned into an extroverted, open-hearted and positive personality which makes me smile every single day. Thats why I think we can learn so much from our pets! We went to a dog school and still I am keeping myself updated with seminars and videos of licenced dog-trainers as learning never ends and there is always something new to explore and improve at in the pet-human communication. The fact that Cacao is death makes him even more special and our relationhip stronger and deeper. We only communicate via visual signals and body language, which for dogs, is easier to understand anyways, compared to vocal signals. Your pet is a family member which deserves to be treated as one - which respect, individualidy, passion and love!
