I've looked after many critters since childhood, and am the "go-to" pet-sitter/dog walker for my friends and family. Growing up on a farm in East Tennessee, it was my job to look after the many animals, and-- due to geographic isolation--we even largely handled our own vet care. After moving to NYC for college and then California & Colorado as an adult, I soon became the pet-nanny & auntie to the pets of all my friends and neighbors. I've never lived without at least one cat of my own, and love getting out there with dogs-- especially after having training and taking classes with an Akita at a farmhouse collective I resided in after grad school. I view pets as family members with distinct personalities and needs. I essentially ran a home cat hospice for 2 years at the end of my beloved cat companion of 19 year's life. I'm one of those people who enjoys animals as much as people, and hope that you'll see the level of compassion, patience, and care that I bring to looking after your pet!
