Pawsitively Pawsome Dog Care!
Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Lisa and my calling in life is to help people, animals and the world! I lost my beloved dog to cancer and dog sitting helps me share my love with many other animals — and helps me, too. I run my own business from home helping people create their best lives, and my schedule is very flexible. That allows plenty of time to cuddle, pet, play and walk my dog friends! I grew up with dogs — extra large ones, especially. I’ve cared for dogs in all ages and stages, from teacup to big enough to saddle up. And helping my beloved American and English Bulldog through cancer has taught me to have the utmost care and compassion when administering medicine, cleaning up accidents, fixing special food and giving extra love and affection. I am a certified Reiki Master and Shaman, which are types of energy healing that provides physical, emotional, and spiritual healing to people and even animals. With your permission, I am happy to provide energy healing to dogs in my care. I believe the love and happiness I have within me comes through to pets and owners. My home is a one-story with 3 bedrooms. The dogs can roam freely in the living, dining, and kitchen areas; I usually keep the bedrooms closed off to keep the dogs in a more contained, though large, area. If needed, I can block the living room and kitchen off from the front door, and they'd still have access to quite a bit of room, as well as access to the back yard. The backyard is completely enclosed by a 6' fence, and is mostly open and covered with turf. There is room in the back yard so we can play fetch, and space for them to lay if they want to relax with me outside on a sunny, lazy day. The Dog House has an Instagram account with even more pawsome photos and videos of stays! You can follow me @thedoghousegram or follow #thedoghouserocklin.
Reviews
Love having Lisa watch Gojo. He always comes back so happy!
Lisa was very caring and friendly. Milo had a great time. Would seek Lisa out again when I need a sitter for Milo.
Lisa is GREAT! She was very loving with Colt who has never been with a dog sitter until this vacation. She sent pictures and he had a blast. I highly recommend her.
Lisa is great! We love the daily updates and photos!

I have a fenced yard and usually have 2-3 dogs here for boarding or day care so if inclined, your dog can get some play time. I also have the ability to provide each dog with his or her own space (another room, crate, or pen depending on your dog's preference) when needed. We always feed dogs in separate areas (unless you have more than 1 and you want them fed with each other), they are separated at night while we sleep (unless they are a multi-dog family and prefer that or there are special circumstances), we do slow introductions to other dogs - we introduce at the slowest dogs pace, and we have the ability to keep dogs separate if needed. We always put your pet's safety first.

Information Lisa H. would like to know about your pet
Since I usually have other dogs in the house, my house is a great fit for dogs who are sociable. I want every dog in my care to always feel safe, comfortable and at home! I’ll need to know any rules you have for your pet (Are they allowed on the couch? Can they jump in my lap?) so I can ensure we follow them!
A typical day
I follow your dog's schedule as best I can to provide stability and comfort. For exercise, we love it when they want to play with each other, but we can also play fetch in the back yard or even some light fetch indoors. They can play in the back yard to their heart's content (weather permitting), as we allow constant access. We love to go for walks if your dog is walkable, weather permitting, and if it's feasible to walk. Generally, I love taking dogs on several walks throughout the day. I also like to play in my backyard, which is completely fenced with a 6” fence. Inside, I leave the large living space (kitchen and living room) open for your dog to roam, choose a cozy dog bed, play with toys (if other dogs are not there or there is no toy aggression) or relax. They can also be in the roomy dining area if they prefer.

My work as an Energy Healer and Life Coach is flexible and primarily done from home, via phone or Zoom. I can easily accommodate most dogs' routines, providing them with the care, love, and play they need to be happy and healthy.
