A home away from home!
Pet care experience
Our family always jumps at the opportunity to look after our friends 4 legged pals whenever they go on vacation or need a sitter and we would love to do the same for you. Your pet will become a part of our family during their stay and hopefully find a place that feels like a home away from home. Your 4-legged friend will reside in our main living area and will be warmly welcomed and encouraged to interact with us. We have a safe and fully fenced backyard that your pup will have free range of if permitted by you. We respect your pets boundaries, therefore, we have created a special, private suite that is dedicated solely to them should they need or desire a quiet, kid free place to relax in. It is approximately 400 square feet and has a couch, a real queen sized human bed, a cat tower and a window perch for kitties. It also boasts a large, double sliding glass door for your furry friend to relax in front of and take in their lake view. Yes. They have a legit lake view! If you have a shy companion that would prefer to stay in their own suite permanently rather than join us in our main living space, that is perfectly fine! We would be more than happy to accommodate that request and will gladly visit and spend time with your pet in their private area as per your instructions. From the bouncy, playful learning stages of puppies and kittens to the relaxed and tranquil days of the senior citizen, we share a love and compassion for animals of all ages. We understand the many ailments that go hand in hand with aging pets and we strive to provide special attention and care to those senior companions who need a little something extra. Prior to having kids, I volunteered regularly at CritterAid Cat Sanctuary in Summerland, where I helped care for cats in search of their forever homes and since the early age of 2, I’ve had all pets of all sorts; Cats, dogs, fish, mice, hamsters, geckos and even a chinchilla who lived to be 17! My wonderful husband has also shared his home with dogs and cats his whole life.
Reviews
I have left pip with them a couple of times now and they take excellent care of her. As well they send photos and videos of pip every day!
Lisa and her husband Geoffrey are both such amazing humans and so attentive to the dogs who stay there! They allowed for a meet-and-greet prior to the start of daycare and were very flexible with timing. Not to mention, they have the best yard for plays! It only took one visit for Nova to run to the gate in excitement to see all of her friends and she has come home twice now very happy! We can’t wait to book again! Thank you :)
Lua loved her stay here! She got along with the other dogs and cats well, and Lisa and Geoff were easy to communicate with and gave a lot of updates. We'll definitely have Lua stay here again.
Lisa and Geoffrey are amazing! They have an amazing home for dogs of all sorts! My pup had an amazing time and she had many pups to keep her entertained! I’m looking forward for having Frankie stay again!

Upstairs, in the main area, we have two cats. Oscar is super chill and couldn’t care less about a 4 legged visitor. Kispy is our little guard cat and is suspicious of any additional human or animal until she deems the situation safe, at which time she will come out of hiding and relax!

If your pup is on a special diet, requires any sort of medication, or has any behavioral issues or quirks, please let us know. Also, if they have any places they particularly like scratched, that’s handy info too!!

We love to take our pups to the lake/ park that is just down the road from our house. There is a large grassy area there to play fetch or if it’s warm out, we can toss a stick into the lake for them to fetch and cool down!

I am currently a stay at home mom with two kids: a 3 year old daughter, and an almost 2 year old son. The majority of the time, we can be found around our home, at a nearby park, or out playing in the yard. My husband works Monday to Friday and spends all his time off with us! We lost our beloved husky 2 years ago and decided that we wanted to wait until the kids are a bit older before getting them their very own pup! That being said, they loooooove animals and are always so excited when we have dog visitors and sleepovers!
