Paw-sonalized Care for your Pup
Pet care experience
HI have been involved in the care of dogs, cats, and other animals for 16 years (14 of those years in the veterinary field in a professional capacity). I currently have 3 dogs of my own, 2 outdoor cats, one betta fish, and have owned birds in the past. I have been employed at a local veterinary practice here in S. Tampa for over 7 years. I also have experience working in an emergency clinic, as well as a boarding facility, and most recently in 2016 I traveled with an international team of veterinary professionals called World Vets to help with a spay and neuter campaign for Sava's Safe Haven, a family run rescue group located in Galati, Romania. Besides caring for my own animals I have been professionally caring for the pets of friends and friends of friends for 13 years. I love being able to help others feel at ease when they are away from their furry family members, knowing their pets are being taken well care of as if they were a part of my own furry family. I have a fairly flexible schedule and dependable. My specialty is last minute situations as some of my friends/clients travel for work quite often and call me sometimes the day of or even a few hours before they have to leave town. Occasionally I may take a break myself and leave town for a few days, but it is never at the last minute, and I usually know a few months ahead of time so I am able to tell my clients beforehand to make sure there are no conflicts in booking dates for care. In addition to last minute bookings I provide lock out service for owners who lose their keys, and for those pets that require extra special care like medication administration, I am comfortable with administering any oral medications or injectible ones as well. Also since I work at a veterinary hospital take comfort in knowing I can provided immediate medical attention in the event they were to get sick or in the extreme case of an emergency. References can be provided as well when requested.

Lisa is AMAZING! We were so worried about leaving our dogs because they are such a handful. They bark, pull, and have some crazy instructions that Lisa followed perfectly and made us feel at ease for our entire trip by checking in, sending pictures, and giving our pups some love. She works at a local vet which is even better in case of an emergency! We absolutely plan on using her again in the future and cannot recommend her enough!
This was my first Rover experience and it went really well! It's a little intimidating leaving your pup with someone new, and Lisa has several other dogs - but she's a pro at introducing them, and making sure everyone gets along! She checks in regularly, and is flexible with drop off and pick up. I'd definitely recommend her!
Lisa is the most trustworthy and caring animal lover I've ever met! She has been taking care of my two labs for 5.5 years and I cannot imagine anyone better than her. She truly takes care of my pups as if they were her own. She is very responsible and the fact that she's a veterinary technician makes me feel even better when I am out of town. Lisa has been a God send for me and I highly recommend her.
Lisa has been working with us for over 10 years and has been an excellent dog sitter and house sitter for us. We can always depend on her to keep our dogs safe and healthy. Her Vet Tech experience definitely helps to put us a ease should something ever happen while we are on vacation. She is reliable, professional and LOVES animals. We are very thankful she is there to take care of our pets.

Information Lisa C. would like to know about your pet
I do not have any breed preferences however I do require that all pets need to be up to date on their annual vaccines as well as be current on monthly flea and heartworm medications. I will ask for a copy of your pet's vaccination or medical history from their vet either prior to our first meet and greet or on the day of a meet and greet. It is for the protection of your pet as well as mine as well on having insight on your pets current health and any medical conditions that may be currently suffering from that I need to monitor while under my care. Required vaccines: Rabies (1 or 3 year vaccine) DHLPP or DHPP (1 or 3 year) Bordetella (1 year) Canine Influenza (single strain or bivalent strain) Not required but preferred: Fecal test within the last year to check for intestinal parasites. If your pet is not current on vaccines due to outstanding medical issues or because of your own personal preference , they will not be eligible for stay at my residence however I am happy to provide services at your home.
A typical day
Walks will typically be in the neighborhood of the owner if house sitting or providing drop in service, or through my neighborhood if pet is being watched at my apartment. Will take to public parks such as Curtis Hixon Park on occasion for walks as the weather permits. I also have a nice-sized yard that is fenced in and can be used for exercise and play time.
