Life is incomplete without a dog!

Pet care experience

I have two dogs of my own and they are my "children." I have had them since they were puppies for the past 11 years. I have trained both of my dogs to be super friendly with both other animals of all shapes and sizes and humans of all ages. I also am the co-founder and co-director of a dog rescue. I have helped to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome hundreds of dogs. I have hosted dozens of foster dogs in my home. I have gone to shelters and pulled strange dogs out of kennels to interact with them with hopes to give them a second chance at life. Nothing is more fulfilling to me then making a new furry friend!!! Through my rescue work I have worked with many veterinarians and trainers so I have gained a wealth of medical and behavioral knowledge.

Lisa was our dog’s foster mom before we adopted him and she did an amazing job with him! I visited him at her house before adopting and you could tell how much she loved and cared for both her own dogs and her fosters. We will always be grateful to Lisa for bringing Crockett into our lives and would not hesitate to recommend her as a dog sitter!

Lisa is the absolute best! She is amazing with dogs and I trust her 100% with ours! She was actually a foster mom to our rescue dog before we rescued her. I still refer to her as “Mila’s first mom.”

Lisa has always been an animal lover for as long as I've known her. She has fostered many dogs in the past and has always been very particular about who she allows to adopt them because she creates a special bond with each of her fosters. As soon as she starts to foster any new dog, they always have trust in her immediately. I have adopted one of my dogs from Lisa and every time she comes to visit, Rosie is so excited to see her! She has always set aside special time to spend with not only her own two dogs but also the ones of the rescue that she helped start. Every time I attend an adoption event to help out she knows every dog by their name, breed, and a little something special about each one. It is amazing how much she truly cares about each these animals!

Lisa has a natural way about her that calms animals down. I have seen Lisa care for her two dogs as well as countless dogs through the rescue she takes an extremely active role with. Lisa has also served as a foster for dogs that have needed extra support behaviorally or medically. Lisa’s patience and loved has turned each of these dogs into perfect pets for their eventual homes. I would highly recommend Lisa as a caregiver for your pet.

Information Lisa C. would like to know about your pet

I prefer to know if there are any behavioral issues prior to pet sitting. Moderate issues are not a deterrent for me but it is wise to know about them beforehand and how the owner typically responds/corrects behaviors. I also would like to know if the dog has ever been around other dogs and how they get along with them. Additionally I would like to know if they have any issues with humans or strangers.

A typical day

There are several locations right near my home that are perfect for walks. I live in a quiet, dog-friendly neighborhood near a wooded area area with several Trails. There are also many walking paths and parks within a 5 to 10 minute drive from my home. I really enjoy hiking with my husband and my own dog. We have also hiked with most of the Foster dogs that we have had in our home.
