I grew up with a family that passed their love for animals to me. We always had at least two or more pets in the house, at least one of the pets being a dog. When I moved out I began pet-sitting for friends and acquaintances because of my love for animals and my knowledge of caring for pets. I've been pet-sitting for the past seven years and have intermittently volunteered at a no-kill shelter. Skills I picked up while pet-sitting include exercising two or more large dogs on a daily basis, caring for a small special needs dog, exercising a large puppy and administering medication. While volunteering at shelters I learned to manage up to ten large dogs at once, walking each and ensuring they were each given the special medication and food they needed. I work a full-time job in Leduc but can walk dogs twice a day, once first thing in the morning before work and again after work. I'm very active so will run pets that require more exercise once a day. My availability for dog-sitting varies from month to month.
