Mature 40’s Mom and Pet lover

Pet care experience

I am a 40’s Mom ready to help care for your pet while you are away or need someone just to check in on them or take them out for a walk! During this season in my life, I need something to keep me busy while my son is at school and to be able to spend some time with pets would be so wonderful right now. Our family just lost our dog in November. I miss having a dog around so I am hoping my schedule during the week (and occasional weekends) will be able to accommodate your pet needs. I grew up with animals; my parents always let us kids to have pets and when you are young, you learn responsibility! I was involved in 4-H showing animals in competition at the local county fair. I absolutely love being around animals and now that I have raised children and having a dog for 10 years, I am looking for something to do that I enjoy but also providing the pet owner confidence in the care that their pet will receive under my supervision. Happy to play, feed, check in on and walk your special furry friend!

Lisa B- my sitter, took excellent care of my two cats!! She is a real animal lover and my cats loved her!! She followed all my instructors to a T. Even sent me text messages with pictures of how the cats were doing! She went above and beyond my expectations!! I already have her booked again in June!

Hi! Lisa would be a great caregiver for anything! She had her own therapy dog for 10 years. I highly recommend her! I would definitely trust her with my own dogs.

To help care for your pet in your own home, I am respectful and cautious knowing that the care is taking place in your home. Always leave the home the way you found it. Clean up any water or food spills or potty accidents if made by the pet. I always like to take a photo of whatever accident there might be so that the owner knows that it first happened as well as what it looks like in the present moment(for example, if there is an accident on the couch) that way the owner is informed on this. I like to make sure the instructions you give me are clear and concise( I do ask questions so I have a good knowledge of what your expectations are). I will be sure to double check everything you list out for us to do during our sitting or walking time. :)

Information Lisa B. would like to know about your pet

If they are a social creature! Maybe some pets just LOVE attention or maybe they don’t like to be around a lot of ppl or other dogs; so that would mean we stick to the yard or going on walks might just be a secluded area where there are no people or other pets. Finding out their temperament up front is always helpful.

A typical day

If the dog is up for playing fetch, I love taking them to a completely open area and letting them just run and play. I also have one of those long plastic ball throwers and most of the time, my arm just can’t quite get that ball thrown way out there. That’s where this comes in handy and I haven’t seen a dog yet not love chasing a ball. Waking can be fun anywhere! A good ole trail in the woods can be quite fun for new smells and scenery.

I’m currently a stay at home Mom, but when my son is in school, I have lots of free time between 8am and 2pm to play and check in on your pet! Unfortunately my weekends are pretty tied up but don't hesitate to ask (I might be available to help) if there is an opportunity on the weekend if you can't find another sitter. Typically, I am available M-F.
