I grew up in a home full of pets and have always had at least one pet in my adult life, so to be without them is abnormal for me. Every dog I meet is a new friend, I would have 10 if I could! I currently have two rescue dogs Oliver 2yr. old wheaten terrier mix (65lb) and Arnie 1 1/2 yr. old Cairn terrier mix (16lb). They are both very social and friendly with other dogs. We go to the dog park at least 3 times a week and they have a small back yard they have access to via our doggie door. When we don't make it to the dog park where they can run free and explore, we take a walk around the neighborhood (approx. 1 mile). They are busy and like to play and wrestle a lot still. We often have a third dog here as I watch my friends dogs when they are out of town. We all love the company. If the weather is too poor to get outside, we run around in the basement with balls and play chase to get some exercise. My dogs are used to lots of hugs and kisses and attention, so I naturally do the same with our visiting friends. My office is just down the street from my house so I often come home for lunch for a visit when I have to work. Any of our furry friends who have stayed with us typically can''t wait to come back. There could be some spoiling involved :). They are allowed to sleep on my bed, the couch, dog beds, blankets whatever they like. I own and Health and Wellness Center and often have clients bring thier dogs in to the office (as well as have mine there occasionally) for sessions of Flowtrition. This is a very gentle touch to very specific areas along the spinal column and hips, as well as behind ears. It is amazing for pets with pain and anxiety or any other illness. We do our training with horses and have even had a guinea pig with a broken leg in to experience Flowtrition! I have included some of the pictures of the pets at my office as well.
