I have extensive experience with cats, including recently rescued strays and avoidant, injured, or ill kitties. I have worked at a dog boarding facility—including some dogs with behavioral issues (such as jumping, biting, and separation anxiety)—and am familiar with making note of bowel movements and any health or behavioral issues. I also have experience with reptiles, if you have exotics in your home. For dogs that are not perfectly leash trained, no worries! I keep these walk-rookies on a short leash and away from other people and animals while we are out and about. I know I’m the substitute teacher, and your furry children may try to get away with things when with me that they would never dream of trying with you. And that’s ok! I’m extremely patient, but also firm—I reward good behavior and ignore bad behavior. And if your dog gets too over-stimulated to listen, then I just give them a little alone time in their ‘safe space’ (whether that’s their crate or mom’s/dad’s bedroom, etc.) to calm down, and then we try again! The more information you can provide about routine, normal behavior (good AND bad), commands, and motivations (food motivated/play motivated/etc.), the better I can interact with your pup in as close to the same manner you do as possible.
