We had used Linnea’s services before for daytime dog sitting and this worked well. When we asked her to stay for an extended period, things did not go well. Linnea arrived late, without letting us know, causing stress while we were out of town. We received limited updates during the stay. Walks were woefully inadequate compared to what had been agreed, and by not using their energy on walks, this caused the dogs to be more excited/energetic. We offered advice on how to walk the dogs, and our home security systems shows that this was not followed. We offered different leash and collar options, including a harness for one of the dogs, and the options were not used. Linnea knew the dogs and her profile said she was comfortable with dogs at 100lbs +. Our dogs are both under 80lbs. During the stay, Linnea asked us to find someone else to look after the dogs. This caused a further great deal of stress and although we would have happily done so, it wasn’t possible. Treats were not offered to the dogs when Linnea left the house, contrary to the process that we set out in the handover manual. On our return, the kitchen had not been left the way it was presented to Linnea, dishes were in the sink, expired food and half drank soda in the fridge, and we also overheard some very unpleasant remarks about us on our security system. Finally, after seeing some dirty marks on our hallway wall, we investigated and found out that Linnea had been practicing her yoga in our home. The dirty marks from her feet touching our walls will not come out; at least – through Instagram – we solved the mystery of how they got there. Needless to say, we won't be using Linnea's services in the future.
