Pet care experience
I've grown up surrounded by dogs. As a teen, I raised chickens at home. During high school I also worked on a farm with cows, pigs, turkeys, chickens, goats, cats, and dogs. I currently have a delightful cat named Jack and love on my parents’ dog, Bella. I've been sitting cats, dogs, chickens, and houses for folks around the Lansing area over the last couple of years. This has included overnight stays, two dogs with a cat and chickens in one home, and two dogs requiring walks 3x/day. I'm a PhD student at MSU, so I'll be in Lansing for another few years, at least. I am fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

I will follow the routine specified by a client. I want to minimize the changes for your pet because missing you is already enough! Feeding, walking, cleaning litter boxes, giving medicine, and more are all tasks I'm completely comfortable with.
Information Linnea V. would like to know about your pet
I like to know the client's typical schedule with their pet. Do you usually give them food in the morning and evening? I want to do that too. I aim to mimic the schedule the pet is used to. I always want to know which vet(s) the client uses, and what they'd like me to do in an emergency, so that I don't waste time questioning or trying to contact them during an emergency.
A typical day
I'm a runner, so if dogs are interested, I'm happy to bring them on a run! I'm happy to go on long walks or lots of short walks. I like to learn about new parks and green spaces, through clients sharing their favorite places to walk. I love playing with cats with whatever toys are around, and I'm more than happy to just give them some love.

Availability
I’m a TA and PhD student, so I spend most of my weekdays on campus at MSU (TBD for fall 2021). I also have a part-time job on weekends, in East Lansing. These are generally 5hr shifts. Can you furry friend be alone that long?
