I’ve taken care of dogs and cats alike since I was 14 years old. My main experience in home has been with small/medium sized breeds as I have always lived in an apartment. However, I have dog sat larger breeds for my neighbors and a few friends before as well. I also used to volunteer at an animal shelter called NKLA with best friends society. Here I worked with cats and dogs. I cleaned kennels, socialized with animals to prepare them for adoption, and walked multiple dogs (mainly pitbull breeds). I have owned my own dog for the last 2.5 years who is a medium sized chihuahua/pitbull mix named Athena. She’s on a routine feeding schedule and is walked every 4-6 hours, last time being at 10pm. I have experience with bathing dogs but only have a tub at this current apartment. No grooming experience. I am also comfortable administering medications as my pup takes her own! I have also worked in small animal veterinary medicine.
