I have many years of animal care experience, beginning when I was just a kid helping out the neighbors with their pets. I have since become a certified dog trainer and specialize in obedience and behavioral issues. In addition to walking, sitting, and boarding, I can offer a variety of structured training and socialization opportunities to interested clients. I have experience handling dogs of all sizes and breeds, ages, and personalities. I am passionate about helping people with their dog care and stay up to date on nutritional information, veterinary care procedures, and many other relevant animal care topics. I take pleasure in getting to know each of my clients and their individual needs. I take great pride in my work and my goal is for clients to know their dog is well cared for in their absence. I also am an equal-opportunity animal lover! I adore all types of furry, feathered, scaly, and other creatures, and have experience caring for many pets beyond canines and felines. I have a full time, semi-remote job at UCSB that I love, and that allows me the freedom to invite animals into my life as at caretaker. The best pet-care fit for me are animals who are comfortable with at least 1-2 hours of alone time. Weekends allow me the opportunity to be active and fully available for pet care. I have a fenced yard (landscaping includes mulch), and the ability to let pets wander freely in and out of the house. There is a cat door installed, so please keep this in mind if your pet is familiar with this design, or at all prone to prey drive or escape behavior.
