Hello! My name is Lindsey, and I have extensive experience working with and caring for dogs. I have my own pets, a giant 5 year-old german shepherd named Ace and a fluffy cat named Meeko. Because I have my own animals, I know how important it is to have somebody you trust to love and care for your furry family members when you can't be around to do so. I've used Rover's services myself on several occasions and know how much of a relief it can be to find the right person to look after your animal while you are away. While I was in law school, I spent two years working as a full-time, live-in caretaker for the dogs of the Humane Society of West Alabama, a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. In this position, we were responsible for the daily care (including behavior training, cleaning, feeding, and medical treatment) of up to sixteen dogs and were on-call 24/7. Through this experience I worked with trainers who specialized in rehabilitating dogs who had been abused and gained a great deal of insight into how to work with all types of dog personalities. I have a deep love and appreciation for pets and the loving energy that these creatures add to our lives. I offer dog walks, drop-ins, and overnight stays in your home so your pets don't have to face the stress of relocating to a new environment on nights you need to be gone.
