In addition, I have had pets throughout my life starting from childhood. I had a one year old puppy brother waiting for me when I was born. Buddy and I grew up together. He was such a good dog, and I truly believe my love for animals began with him. As an adult I’ve had multiple cats. My first cat was a rescue named Marley who I renamed Squish. He had mutant paws (polydacty) and no tail. Squish was such a cool cat. Next came Buddy. He only had one ear and cancer, and later developed kidney disease. We only had two years together but I wouldn’t change a thing. Next I adopted Evan, an 8 year old tabby with an immunodeficiency. He goes by Scoot meow. I have a soft spot for special animals and their specific needs.
