Hi, I am a dog-loving Alaskan girl with a lifelong passion for hiking and the outdoors, which means me and your furry friends will be on our own staycation enjoying Portland's many trails while you are enjoying your vacation. I am a law student at Lewis & Clark Law, allowing me plenty of time to tend to your furry friends. I have class four days a week (Mon - Thurs): and am in class between three and five hours a day, always with at least an hour and twenty minute break for lunch to make lunchtime visits. I grew up with a Mini Aussie who, because of his youthful exuberance (i.e. spastic tendencies), was mistaken for a puppy until he passed away at 13. He required at least three miles of exercise a day and was happy to go far beyond that if his biped bros were up for it. Caring for Jojo from puppyhood to his senior years allowed me to observe and cater to his varying needs throughout the different stages of his life. Starting in high school I began dog sitting for friends and family and have done so intermittently since then. I have serious puppy fever and dog sitting allows me to get in some secret doggy loving while my two live-in kitty overlords are none the wiser at my own home with my boyfriend. My one downfall as a dog sitter is that I am a major spoiler, as in, I shower pups with treats and hikes so they'll like me (there is probably something to unpack about my own character here, but what fun is self-reflection), so if you have strict rules about food/treat intake be sure to lay it out explicitly for me and I will fight my internal urges. Otherwise, I am excited to get out and about with your canine companion(s).
