I’ve taken care of dogs, cats, and pocket pets for as long as I can remember. I grew up helping care for my family’s cats and dogs. My first job was at a pet hotel where I was tasked with taking care of all of the boarding clients. I balanced mealtimes for up to 50+ dogs, 20+ cats, and other pets. I was tasked with walking dogs or taking them to the play yard, and also playing with the cats. I was also in charge of making sure the pets made it into their rooms/kennels safely. I have worked at an animal shelter as an animal care technician where I fed, watered, exercised, and cleaned up after all of the resident dogs and cats. This gave me experience with any and all breed, age, and temperament of dog and cat you can think of. Lastly, I have over 5 years of experience with in-house training and socialization of service dog puppies/dogs. I would welcome an 8 week old puppy into my home and be their sole caregiver and guardian for the next 14 months. Dog training is something I am passionate about, and I see the best parts of any age of dog, even if the puppy phases test everyone’s patience.
