Pet care experience
I’ve had a strong passion for animals my entire life but I didn’t start working with them professionally until I was thirteen and got a job on a horse farm. From there, I went to several other farms, Petsmart for two years, and eventually landed at the SPCA of Wake County in 2017. I used to worry that working with dogs every day would become a chore, but it’s been nearly three years and I’m delighted to say I couldn’t have been more wrong. My love for cats and dogs has only grown stronger every day. My time at the SPCA has taught me how to work with a very wide variety of breeds, sizes, and personalities in dogs and cats alike. I’ve also taken Positive Reinforcement Behavior training courses and earned a certification in Fear-Free Animal Handling.

Lindsey is incredibly talented and skilled in working with pets of all shapes, sizes, and training needs! I worked with her for nearly a year in a dog-centric environment and she could make friends with nearly any dog in the building. She has plenty of experience with dog-to-dog playdates, training, and even figuring out a dog’s favorite treats. Lindsey doesn’t just care for dogs, though. When she watched my two cats & three foster kittens for several days they almost didn’t even care that I came home, which is huge for my shy & clingy cats that have to be by my side 24/7! I would trust any pet of mine with her because I know she’ll treat them like her own.
Lindsey has been working with dogs for quiet a long time. I personally have 8 dogs of all sizes and temperaments and she does great with every one of them. She is very reliable and if going out of town I would certainly trust her to watch my house as well as all of my animals. With her years of experience she is great at reading dog body language and making the dogs feel comfortable.
Lindsey has years of experience as a canine behavioral trainer through other career paths as well as being a loving caregiver to all animals. She has experience with all animals from rodents to reptiles. She’s a fantastic animal caregiver and animal lover.
