I love dogs and have had at least one ever since I started a chore chart to "earn" my first dog, Oreo, when I was four. My dogs are my rock and they keep me happy and active through whatever life brings. I grew up in farm country with livestock guardian dogs, working dogs, and my fluffy Havanese, so I'm comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments; I love them all. Growing up I did our basic vetting for goats, dogs, pigs, etc. and am comfortable giving injections; I do not have veterinary training, just farm experience. I know I have a hard time putting my fur babies in a kennel when I have to leave town and would love to take care of your baby while you're away!

Lindsey was great with my 2 dogs. They don't get around new people or dogs very often and she did a great job making them comfortable. She sent lots of pictures and updates. I definitely use her again when needed. Thank you Lindsey.
Lindsey was amazing with our dog Benny! This was our first time leaving him and he has some puppy behaviors so we were nervous. Lindsey put all our fears to rest with her pictures and updates showing that Benny was doing fine and having a great time. We will definitely be booking with Lindsey again!!
Our pups had a lovely stay with Lindsey! I can’t say enough how comfortable I felt leaving them with her- she is warm, understanding and genuinely enjoys doggies. She sent us photos and checked if she had a question, but overall is a very intuitive dog person and knew exactly what to do even when they were homesick at the beginning. Her house has a beautiful fenced yard for them to frolic in. She is a lovely person and we would recommend her to anyone!

I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs to keep your fur baby company. I can easily crate your dog if needed and I have a large crate from before Minuet became a trustworthy grownup. If you have a small dog who usually uses a crate for a safe space please bring that with you! My fenced yard does have gaps under the gate where a small dog can get through so I always actively watch little dogs while they're outside. If you aren't comfortable with that I also have a small solid fenced in area off the back porch with no gaps where your dog can potty and I can take them on walks for exercise instead of supervised yard time. No dog larger than my havanese has ever gotten through the fence and honestly with this much space no big dogs have even seemed interested in trying to escape. When I take dogs for a walk I always leash before opening any gate. I separate dogs to feed them so everyone gets their share since my little dog is a bit of a glutton and to avoid fights with only dogs whose owners don't know they are resource guarding. If your dog usually free feeds I will instead offer it the food repeatedly throughout the day so that it has the opportunity to graze somewhat normally. If you have any boundaries you'd like me to keep with your dog or other safety precautions you can think of, please let me know as I'm always happy to make things a little better.

I'd like to know your dog's regular routine, because I think keeping with that as much as possible is key to them settling in. I'd like to know if they have any special needs or separation anxiety issues so I can take care of them properly. I've handled dogs with separation anxiety before and they've done well. The other dogs have really helped them settle in. And I'd like to know about their personality! Is she cuddly, playful, or standoffish? Does he need a daily jog to stay sane? Are they a couch potato who just want to cuddle like my dog Oscar? Is it normal for them to not want to cuddle lot or is that a sign they aren't comfortable? I believe a dogs behavior is dependent on their personality, training, and previous experience, not their breed. I do not have breed preferences. I cannot take dog aggressive dogs as I have two dogs myself. I am comfortable handling food aggressive and resource guarding dogs and can happily manage that if you let me know about the issue.
A typical day
I have a large (2/3 acre) fenced yard and two dogs of my own: an 11 year old Havanese named Oscar, and a 4 year old Bernese Mountain Dog named Minnie. Minnie would love to romp and play with your fur baby if that's what they're into and will leave them alone if they aren't playful. If they've got more energy than her she'll happily cheer them on while they run circles around her. I usually go on walks around my neighborhood or around cascade lake. If it's nice out I like to take my dogs out to quarry hill for a longer trek. However, for playful dogs running around the yard with my big pup usually wears them both out! High energy dogs I've taken on jogs on the trails around Cascade Lake.

I am currently working from home and your dogs will be folded right into the rest of my little pet family, with pre-work attention, plenty of pet and potty breaks, and early morning or evening supervised yard time while I work on my yard.
