Hi there! My name is Lindsay, and I am a huge animal lover with extensive experience caring for all types of animals. I’ve worked at an animal shelter for the past 4 years and have volunteered at animal shelters, fostered, and pet sat for over 10 years. I have two dogs of my own, Oakley and Henry, who are the loves of my life. I’m a bit of a helicopter dog mom, but through my time working in animal welfare I’ve seen and experienced many situations that have led me to be hyper aware of things that could happen, which is why pet safety is my top priority while caring for any animal. I am Fear Free Pet and Animal CPR/First Aid certified - giving me tools to look after both a pet’s physical and emotional wellbeing. I have received comprehensive training in animal behavior and safe animal handling and am comfortable and capable of handling reactive and fearful dogs, always striving to create a secure environment. Additionally, I am well-versed in special needs pet care. My beloved dog, Elliot, who had spina bifida and was completely incontinent, taught me the intricacies of expressing bladders and changing doggie diapers. I have also provided care for blind dogs and other pets with unique needs.
