Pawsome Cat (and dog!) Sitter
Pet care experience
I've had two lovable, smart, mischievous medium-long haired kitties for nearly 14 years. I’ve gained experience from them outsmarting their auto feeder (we can no longer use it!), 3am zoomies, and less fun adventures with bladder stones and medications. I have experience: -observing litter box habits (and collecting samples for the vet) -administering medication via pill pockets, pill shooter, crushed in food, or dropper/syringe -insulin administration I have experience with shy or anxious cats, and don't mind giving them time and patience to warm up. It’s always rewarding when they become comfortable and former scaredy cats eventually ask for pets! I volunteer with a rescue and have met many different types of kitty personalities, from friendly playful fluffers to shy or scaredy kitties who need lots of patience. I previously volunteered interacting and playing with different dogs and cats. They taught me a lot about how to approach animals in different situations and observing their body language. I have spent time with and sat for friends’ dogs, running a 5k “Dog Jog” with one of my favorite pups, and helping to walk or let them out when their humans were away. I have also overnight sat and dog walked for clients. I can provide references from several multi pet families. I have background clearances (PA state, Child Abuse and FBI fingerprint check) available upon request, as I also babysit/nanny in the community. I’m happy to send texts, make notes and send photos of my visit. I know I miss my cats when I am away, and I will do my best to ease your worries when entrusting me with the care of your animals.

Lindsay accepted my visit on very short notice, and fed our cats when our other cat sitter was unable to make it. We will always reach out when we need help with pet care!
Lindsey was amazing with our shy fur babies. She fed them, watered and cleaned their litter boxes. She sat and waited for them to come out to her. They didn’t, and she didn’t force them to. She also provided us with daily updates during each of her visits. Highly recommended and we will definitely use her in the future.
Lindsay came for a meet and greet on her own time to make sure the cats were comfortable, and they were well taken care of with detailed updates while we were away. Highly recommend, and we’ll be sure to ask if she’s available any time we need a cat sitter!
Lindsay is extremely responsible, friendly, reliable and takes excellent care of my reclusive cat Poptart. Poptart hates when we travel, but when Lindsay is caring for her, she is much less upset, and back to her routine immediately.

A typical day
I adapt my pet sitting style to the temperament of your pet - some cats enjoy lots of playtime while their owners are gone, others just want food and some human company. I am happy to play and pet or snuggle with your cats, however if they prefer to be fed, and have their box scooped with limited interaction, I won't force it. Most dogs love walks and playing outside, but if potty breaks and long reassuring snuggles are what they need while their family is away, I’m happy to oblige. I brush and trim my cats’ nails, would be happy to try it on your cat on a case by case basis. My current service radius is 5 miles from my home, I do my best to be flexible to accept clients outside of a 5 mile radius when my schedule allows, with a charge for additional milage and/or travel time if applicable.

I am currently available for early morning “breakfast” drop-ins, and late afternoon/evening “dinner time” drop ins. I do not have midday availability Monday through Friday.
