I was disappointed that after I had already booked Lindsay for housesitting our dog while we were on vacation over Christmas, she mentioned that I was going to owe her for walking our dog. She had not mentioned this prior to accepting the housesitting booking. When I asked her how much extra she charges, since no other housesitter had charged me for walking our dog once per day, she said it would be an additional $15-20 per walk & that she had already walked her 5 times since we had been on our trip. I explained that this was not a normal request but since it was Christmas, I would consider paying her the additional money. After receiving photos of our dog, I noticed a hot spot on her back paw was very red & irritated. It looked like it was getting infected. I had given her instructions on how to care for this since our dog has experienced this before. On our last day, I asked her if she could take a photo of the paw so I could see the current state it was in. The photos came back & I was very concerned & I asked Lindsay if she could take our dog to our Vet clinic to be treated. It appeared to me that she needed to be put on an antibiotic to start the healing process. She informed me that she did not have the time to wait for our dog at the Vet’s office because she had work to do on her laptop. Mind you, she was still at our home & her priority should have been what our dog needed at the time. Since we were not scheduled to get into St Louis until 8:45 PM, I called another petsitter I know & she was able to go over & relieve Lindsay. She told me she felt sorry for me & our dog and was willing to come over free of charge until we got home that night & that she was willing to take Sophie to the Vet for us. This petsitter was scheduled to start the next morning but was willing to come over a day early to make sure our dog got the care she needed. She took a photo & said our dog looked very sad, which the photo indicated that in her mood.& demeanor. She asked if it would be ok to get a t-shirt out of my dirty clothes to give to Sophie to perk her up, which I obviously agreed to. She then spent time stroking her & giving her lots of love & attention. I was thankful for her kindness, compassion & willingness to help out in a stressful situation. Having Sarah come over, gave me a greater sense of peace & lessened my worry & concern for our dog. It is too bad that Lindsay did not have that same level of concern for our dog & commitment to make Sophie her top priority!

Lindsay walked our dogs every day while we were on vacation. She did a great job staying in touch with me and my babies were well taken care of and are super happy! Will definitely use Lindsay again.
