Passionate animal-lover with decades of experience owning and caring for dogs, cats, fish, a cockatiel, hamsters and more. If you're looking for someone to care for your pets as if they were your own, you've found me. My dogs are my children and I can't imagine my life without them. I have a wide experience with dogs from sweet and lovable to those who are more fearful of strangers, reactive, jumpy, elderly and everything in-between. I have volunteered with Kansas City Pet Project for almost 10 years. I absolutely love getting to know each dog's individual personality. There are so many great things about each one, whether they are a little shy or are a professional snuggler. I have previous experience with my own dogs and cats giving personalized care for mobility, medication, kidney care, specialized diets and shots. I'm more than happy to help provide care for dogs and cats who need help in any of these or other areas. I'm happy to take care of almost all kinds of animals, although I do not have experience with reptiles. I cannot provide boarding services, however, I can provide walks and overnight care. Fastidiously tidy and neat, I'll also make sure your home is as clean and well kept as when you left it. I'm very excited to talk with you about your pets and how we can help be there for you and them when you can't be.

Safety is of the utmost importance to me. From my experience volunteering at KC Pet Project, I'm adept at reading body language of dogs and other pets. Staying attuned to their body language and aware of surroundings when outside helps avoid accidents and ensures everyone stays safe and happy. I also currently have a dog that doesn't always get along well with others. I am thorough about watching out for other dogs in the neighborhood, on or off leash, and keeping him calm, and redirecting any behaviors we're working on. I always carry an airhorn just in case an off-leash dog approaches us on a walk. I'd be happy to ensure your pets are safe while you're away. I have plenty of experience with reactive and shy dogs as well as caring for elderly dogs.

A typical day
I'm excited to spend quality time cuddling, playing, and going for walks with your furry kiddos. Whether it's hitting up the local park, or playing tons of fetch or tug in the backyard, I've got it covered to keep their routine intact. I love playing "go find it" games and working on tricks and obedience with my own dogs. Just fill me in on house rules, usual routines, and any behavior you're working on!

My schedule is very flexible. I am a photographer with shorter photo shoots and can easily care for your pet as needed since I'm fully in control of my own schedule.
