I’m a lifelong “dog person”. I had a large dog for 15 years and she was the princess of all princesses, and sadly crossed the rainbow bridge last summer. Now I’m an “empty nester” wanting to give my love to your sweet fur babies!

I have a large fenced in yard and live in a great neighborhood in NE Baltimore City with lots of great dog walk routes. In my home, mi casa es su casa. I especially welcome couch snugglers and blanket hogs! Only requirement is pets who have been around small kids. My daughter was born while our dog was geriatric, so she already has a good sense of “giving dogs their space”, and I’d never leave your dog with my child unsupervised, but I do prefer dogs from families or ones who spend time around kids. I don’t mind administering meds or any special dietary needs—we shared a life with a cranky old lady dog for a long time. She was also dog/leash aggressive, so I have expert other dog dodging skills while on a walk.

I am more than happy to accommodate dogs with some high maintenance needs, but I’d like to know as much as you can share with me about your fur baby’s likes, dislikes, accommodations, favorite activities, etc. in advance so that I can plan accordingly. During our meet and greet, I will introduce your dog to my daughter to make sure there isn’t an issue. Because of our busy schedules, I will probably limit my bookings to 3-4/month.
A typical day
Does your dog like hide and seek? Or walks around the neighborhood? Or deeply reflecting on all the new smells in the park? I usually spend a decent amount of time around our house on the weekends, a lot of time in the backyard (fully fenced so safe for off leash play), and head to the park or other outdoor activities. Does your dog do well in the car? They’re welcome to join us for weekend errands, too!

Availability
While I work full-time, my job is very flexible and I can make most scheduled needs work. Dogs should be able to hold it for 4-6 hours, min. I work nearby and can come home for a mid-day walk or backyard play. Weekends I’m mostly home, as I also have a 4 yr old who loves dogs (and cats and bunnies and alll the pets).
