Pet care experience
From caring for my family dog growing up, to dog sitting as a side job in college, to now having a dog of my own, I have spent most of my life around dogs. What I have learned over the years is that while every dog has a unique personality, providing consistent & routine care, love and stimulation is the key to their happiness. Every dog I care for I treat like my own, and get so much joy out of getting to know each pup in the process! My current dog is an 11 lb miniature poodle mix named Luna. She gets along well with other dogs, but is pretty mellow so does not tend to play for long periods of time with high energy dogs, but definitely enjoys being a member of the pack. I have experience dog sitting with a wide range of dogs from Miniature Pinschers to Goldendoodles to St. Bernards and just about everything in between.

Lindsay was an amazing sitter for my puppy Lily. She was attentive and always kept me in the loop by sending me pictures throughout their weekend together. Lindsay was so easy to work with too! She was so nice and accommodating and it was clear Lily had a great time with her too. I‘ll definitely be adding Lindsay to my favorites and book with her again!

Lindsay is amazing with dogs! She has cared for my little Havanese Peeka, for years and is responsible, kind and caring. I highly recommend! Dogs can feel Lindsay's love for them--and find themselves sitting on her lap or being near her. When my dog had special dietary requirements, Lindsay didn't miss a beat! As a matter of fact, when I arrived home after an extended trip, my dog ignored me at first, preferring to be near Lindsay. You will feel great entrusting your fur-baby with Lindsay!

While we do not have a backyard at our apartment, we do have a very nice park directly behind our building that we frequent multiple times a day for socializing with other dogs, getting good sniffs in, and hanging out in the sun. I recognize that it can be strange for your dog to be in an entirely new environment staying at my home, so I do my best to make it feel as comfortable as possible with toys, treats (though mindful of dietary restrictions!), comfortable spots to lounge throughout our apartment, and fresh water at all times.

A typical day
While your dog is staying with me, I really like to tailor my activities to what your dog likes to do most, whether that is going for long walks, visiting the dog park, playing fetch, or just taking things slow and strolling through our neighborhood. We are fortunate to have many parks nearby that we explore, like Duboce, Jefferson Square, Buena Vista, Alamo Square and Corona Heights.

Availability
My husband and I both work from home most days, so between the two of us one is almost always home to provide walks and potty breaks throughout the day. On weekends we really enjoy going for hikes and long walks to explore the city, hanging at the dog park, and snuggling on the couch with our furry friends watching movies.
