Vet Assistant- Best Kind of Sitter!

Pet care experience

I've had dogs almost my whole life and have been working in the animal/veterinary industry for the past 7 years. I have a bachelors degree in Biology from the University of West Florida and plan to attend vet school in the near future (I've just applied!). I am very comfortable with all breeds and personalities of dogs and cats. I have 2 dogs of my own- Logan and Isla- both of whom my husband and I rescued and love more than anything. Their hobbies include napping on the couch, chasing each other around the backyard, and snuggling with us! We also have a bearded dragon and a slider turtle. I'm comfortable caring for just about any animal. Anyone can fill up a food bowl or let a dog out to potty. When you choose to book with me, you are choosing a professional, knowledgable, and dependable sitter. My years as a vet assistant have provided me with a fantastic foundation of animal health- both physiologically and mentally. I know how to read animals and I feel they know this, as nearly all of them are comfortable and trusting of me. Many animals seem drawn to me. If you have special needs pets, don't entrust them to just anybody. Whether you choose me (hopefully you do!) or someone else, always make sure you know exactly who you're entrusting your pets life with. I would be a fantastic option for a special needs pet as I can give medications, give insulin, & recognize when your pet needs medical attention. Pets are welcome on furniture in our house, unless otherwise specified. I also believe it's important that dogs are crate trained, not for disciplinary purposes, but rather so that they have a safe place to go if they need some personal space. My dogs are both crate trained and frequently go into their crates to nap or when they're frightened. I will treat every dog with respect and kindness. I can accommodate most special requests within reason. I do prefer they come with their regular food so they don't get an upset stomach. I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies!

Lindsay is a jewel. She was prompt, courteous, and -- most importantly -- our little beagle, Hitch, took right to her. We were very at ease at dinner in a strange town (and with Hitch in a strange house) because of her.

Lindsay is an excellent sitter!! She is very knowledgeable about animals and willing to take the time to give the extra care. Galan and Rook loved playing ball with her. I would definitely recommend Lindsay to anyone looking for a careful and cautious sitter who takes care of all the details

Information Lindsay B. would like to know about your pet

If I dog sit in my home, dogs must get along well with other dogs. I'd also like to know if they have any medical issues or behavioral quirks so that I can be better prepared in an emergency situation.

A typical day

We're located close to the Birchmore Trail and Memorial Park. We have a very large fenced in backyard with lots of shade- my dogs love spending time in it!
