♥ TLC ♥ as I would want for my own!

Pet care experience

Hello, I joined Rover in June 2021 but not at all new to pet care. I welcome S/M dogs and will take on some geriatric, or special needs. Occasionally will accommodate larger dogs if they are docile, social and calm and no other little dogs booked in. Enter Promo Code LINDAS79804 on your 1st Rover booking to receive $20 off! Our set up is best described as home care with a monitored cozy dog room at night that is part of our home, Dogs are kenneled for feeding or quiet time if they have a chew treat to avoid any doggie conflicts. Dogs quickly become comfortable with a routine of 4+ social playtimes in a safe comfortable environment. . We have 3 separate play yards. A lifelong dog lover/owner, I have worked at kennels, the SPCA and taken an owners veterinary course as well as assisted with obedience classes in the past. I am home full time on our farm and enjoy dog sitting. Will occasionally do nearby home visits within 10km or charge additional out of zone. Email and text updates are given on request (within reason) for your peace of mind. My #1 goal is to keep your pet(s) safe and happy! On that note, I do require dogs to be within 2 years of vaccination or titer tested with appropriate forms to show. Any boosters must be given 2 weeks prior to coming here. I also ask your dog is on a flea program to keep my premises clear of them and to ensure nothing is passed along to the next visitor.

Linda was amazing with our reserved Duck-Toller, Rocket. He can be pretty shy around new people and dogs but Linda kept a close eye on him to make sure he was feeling comfortable and had his space until he was ready and willing to open up. She knew I was nervous to leave him so she kept me updated on how he was to put my mind at ease. My husband and I feel that Rocket got 5 star treatment and would absolutely recommend Linda to anyone who wants to have their mind at ease about their dogs while they are away.

I have never boarded my dog before and was unsure about how it would go. However, everything about Linda put me at ease. Not only does she seem to really understand a wide range of dog behaviour (my dog Birch can be a bit quirky!), but she genuinely cares about dogs (not to mention all animals). Linda is very personable with canines and humans alike and has done a great job creating a fun, safe home away from home! I left feeling fully very happy and confident with Linda as a care provider and am definitely booking her on my next trip away! Thank you Linda--looking forward to seeing you soon!

Linda is such a great find since moving to Victoria! It’s so nerve wracking finding someone who is so accommodating and also just loves dogs so much! My doggos have a blast at her place and she sends me the greatest pics of them, so my mind is at ease when we’re away that they’re in great hands.

You can tell right away when you meet Linda that she loves dogs. Her set up is amazing with separate roomy cages for each dog that has enough space for a crate and eating area. Seconds after getting home and saying hello to everyone Ipa went straight to her fav sleeping spot and has not moved. So glad we connected with this fantastic service.

Has 3 dogs

Potty breaks every 2-4 hours

Information Linda S. would like to know about your pet

Your dog will need to be UTD on vaccines and flea free. I would like to know if they are social, anxious, chewers, jumpers, food/toy aggressive, diggers etc. Our yard fencing is all lined with no dig wire. It is 4' high so if you have a particularly athletic dog this may not be a fit for a mischievous jumper (even though dogs are supervised for yard play). The focus is to ensure SAFETY! I have specific drop off and pick up times and would like to be given a 1 -2 hour window between 9-5pm and ask people to respect there are reasons for this and/or to plan or ask ahead. Normally take 3-4 dogs at a time but am open to discuss each booking and individual needs.

A typical day

Dogs are let out first thing for a quick potty break or play before morning feeding and again right after. I have plenty of leashes, bowls and toys and prefer NOT to have things that could get lost or wrecked other than a special blanket or toy that stays with your dog at night. Weather permitting dogs will be let out to play at least 5 times per day, fed up to three times and settled for the night at 10/10:30 My dog room is camera monitored so I can check on dogs without disturbing quiet times.
