Dog walking and pet sitting allows me the opportunity to enjoy pets, be outdoors and get exercise. I have been walking dogs and doing overnight stays for 9 years. This includes cat sitting, of which I currently have a client with 2 cats. I currently have 5 dogs that I walk and care for. One is a family with 3. I have become known as the Dog Nanny as the dogs act as if I am a Nanny. I am attentive to the needs of the pet as well the owners needs and requirements for the pets.. I leave status updates on walks daily in a notebook provided by clients, text any concerns and pictures if applicable. I live in a ground floor condo that is next to a large grassy area that offers a great walking and exercise area. The street I live on is a cul de sac so only the traffic of the residents that live within drive and park.(Not busy) My son is 23 years old and my neighbor(50ish) who lives directly in front of me will assist if an emergency causes me to be away. My son often walks a dog to help and my neighbor is a business partner / independent dog walker. My neighbor has 15+ years in owning pets( cats & dogs) and 4 yrs walking dogs. He is very knowledgeable about dog care and medical needs. He has assisted me in the past walking pets. Our beloved pet poodle passed away in August. She was 11 yrs old, loved and still missed. We got her when she was 8 weeks old. Currently we do not have a dog however, one of the dogs I walk lives in my building and I know the owner would love to have a play date. He is a two year old dachshund/chihuahua mix.
