Pet care experience
Hi there, thank you for viewing my profile! My name is Linda, I have been a fur mom for 40+ years and truly love spending time with animals. I have gained a tremendous amount of experience during this time, and credit my ability to bond and build trust with animals quickly by understanding that “it’s a dog and cat world and I’m just living in it”. Animals of all types have always been an integral part of my family. I have rescued every dog that I’ve owned and as most were abused/neglected, had behavioral or medical issues, or shy/aggressive with other dogs. With a lot of patience and a gentle hand, I was able to help them become happier, healthier, more confident, trusting, and sociable pets who thrived and enjoyed life, as every dog has the right to. I have worked as a vet assistant in a busy clinic and have also learned a lot from my brother who has been a veterinarian for over 30 years, so I am confident in my ability to administer medication, care for pets with medical issues, provide post-op care, and look for signs of anything that might require medical attention. I take any (and all) opportunities to snuggle or go on fun adventures (trips to the park (on or off-leash), hiking on trails, walks, etc.) that you may encourage or suggest. If your dog is less active, I can bring our activity level to where your dog is most happy and comfortable. I would be very excited for an opportunity to meet and build a relationship with you and your pet! I will have plenty of time to spend with your pet and do my best to continue with the routine, feeding schedule, exercise times, etc. that you already have in place. I am very diligent about the safety and comfort of any pet and can assure you that any requirements or instructions will be followed to the letter. I am lucky to be self-employed which will allow me to arrange my schedule, in order to make time for your pet's care or needs. No problems there!

So happy we found Linda. She was wonderful with our 4yr old Nevada. She connected with us right away and gave the extra attention that our dog needed. Will definitely use her again.
Linda did a great job with my two boys. She communicated daily and asked questions when needed. House was clean& tidy and the dogs were happy and content when I arrived home. Thanks Linda💜
I can’t even put into words how at ease and comfortable I felt knowing Linda was with my sweet pooch. Linda was so attentive, flexible, and checked in consistently. My pup was happy and relaxed when I came home. I will be rebooking with her every chance I get!
Linda was awesome.she even cleaned my house.I did it expect that. Thankyou Linda . Daisy loves her .

I have chosen not to offer boarding services as I believe house-sitting is less stressful for your pet(s), especially when their pet parents are gone.
Information Linda R. would like to know about your pet
Canine/feline, age, breed, personality/energy level? Is he/she potty-trained? Any behavioral issues to note? Does he/she have any medical concerns I should be aware of? Is he/she food aggressive or shows any type of aggression towards dogs/people? Is he/she up to date on vaccinations (safe to be around other dogs)? Does he/she have special needs, require medication or post-op care, or any type of additional or special care?
A typical day
ON-LEASH/ENCLOSED AREAS: If you approve and encourage it, I would love to take your pet(s) to certain dog parks or explore one of the many beautiful trails that I'm familiar with in the Chilliwack area. We can take a relaxing stroll or a good run, whatever you prefer! OFF-LEASH AREAS: To me, the most important part of my job is to ensure your pet's safety and well-being while in my care. As a pet owner myself, I can relate to the many concerns that arise while you are gone, especially regarding off-leash activities. This comes to another important part of my job, which is to do my best to alleviate your concerns so that you can focus on other things and enjoy your time away. If you're open to off-leash activities and feel comfortable and confident that I will have solid and reliable recall abilities with your pet, there are many fun activities we can do outside! Your pet will have a great sleep, but first.... eat a good meal (if it's mealtime for them), maybe a treat, some snuggles, a belly rub, and a relaxing massage (can't forget those!) to end the day. Some pets love the water, so if a refreshing swim is part of your routine, I would be happy to do the same, if you like. There are also many off-leash areas that I know of and love around the area. If I am pet sitting for you outside of the Chilliwack area, you can bet I will certainly find some cool places to go! Some owners might not ever feel comfortable or confident with off-leash activities, and that's okay, we can still have lots of fun! I like to stimulate pets mentally as well by practicing any kind of tricks or "find the ball/toy" game, etc. Cat toys are super fun, especially when I see them enjoying the playtime so much! There's no end to what we can do to have a great day! If requested, I would be happy to provide daily updates on our activities, special or funny moments, food or medical concerns, photos, or just your pet's overall well-being. My goal is to keep them happy and occupied, and of course, to provide comfort for them when they miss you.
